Due to demand, Mark Lutz will be holding another public Python training session in Longmont, Colorado, on October 28-30 2002. This is a public class, open to individual enrollments. It will cover the same topics as the standard 3-day onsite sessions that Mark teaches, with lab work. Come spend 3 days mastering Python, as well as its most common applications.

  1. Dates and location
  2. Local accommodations
  3. Price, registration, payment

Additional notes:

Finally, if you are interested in attending, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can arrange for a suitable training room. The registration section below describes the information I will need when you confirm your enrollment by phone or email. Thank you for your interest,

--Mark Lutz (http://www.rmi.net/~lutz)

Dates and location

This 3-day session will be held October 28-30 2002, Monday-Wednesday. The class begins at 9:00AM, and generally runs until 5:00PM, with a 1-hour break for lunch at noon each day. The training room is usually open at 8:30 each morning. There are a variety of restaurants within a short walk of the training site.

The class will be held at the Raintree Plaza hotel and conference center, in Longmont, Colorado. Longmont is 15 minutes northeast of Boulder, and 30 miles northwest of Denver. The conference center is on the southwest side of Longmont, just east of the Twin Peaks mall. Note that the training room is in the conference center, which is behind the hotel itself.

For location details, maps, and driving directions, please visit the Raintree's website, or contact me for further details.

Local accommodations

The Raintree conference center (now a Radisson property) is also a full business hotel, and can provide accommodations for students attending from out of town. For hotel information, please visit the Raintree's website.

Here are a few other hotels in the area:

For more ideas, you might also try a simple search on google.com for hotels in Longmont and Boulder. Boulder, about 15-20 minutes away, has additional business hotels, Holiday Inns, and the like. Fort Collins and Denver are each about 30-40 minutes away. And if you are adventurous, mountain resort areas such as Estes Park are roughly 40 minutes from the training site.

Price, registration, payment

Price

The price for this 3-day training session is $1,000 per student. That price includes the class itself, a student workbook, a training CD, an O'Reilly Python book, access to lab machines (if needed), a continental breakfast each morning, and refreshments throughout the day.

Two pricing notes: If your company will be sending multiple students, please inquire about volume discounts. Also, I strongly encourage students to bring their own laptop computers to the class, if possible; lab machines provided are adequate, but generic.

Registration

To register for the class, simply contact me to let me know that you will be attending. A formal contract is not required, just a verbal message by phone or email.

However, if you are interested in attending, please respond with as firm a commitment as you can provide, as soon as you can provide it. In addition, to help me plan room and machine reservations, your reply should include these items:

  1. The number of students you will be sending.
  2. Whether or not you will be bringing your own laptop(s) to the class for lab sessions.
  3. Payment details: how you will pay, an address to invoice if required, etc.

Payment

Class fee payment by check can be made in person, or sent to the following address:

Mark Lutz
2424 9th Ave. #2306
Longmont, CO. 80503

I am an independent Python trainer, if your company needs to know. For simplicity, I prefer payment by check; I can also accept credit cards and invoice your company, but only as a last resort, please. If you want to pay for the class ahead of time, I provide a 100% refund of your payment in the unlikely event that the class must be cancelled for any reason.
