Older: Sony Vaio PCG-818 Laptop

(1998) 300mhz Pentium II, 64M ram, 6.4G hard drive, DVD, 13.3" TFT, v.90 modem, 1.75" thick, about 6 pounds. It runs Windows98 and Red Hat Linux 6.0. This really was state of the art when I got it in late 1998, but I upgraded to a 650mhz PIII superslim notebook in mid 2000, shown here. The last time I checked, Sony was also selling a 750 mhz Pentium III notebook machine. Sony's site: here.
