El Dorado is owned by the Avecedo family, Romulo, Marcos and Ricardo.

Ricardo (who just turned 78 on April 3, 2005) first opened El Dorado in 1970, next to the Mexicoach Bus Station (in what is now Montelbean, a game arcade). In 1972, he moved El Dorado across Revolution and about five stores north (away from the tall arch) to its present location.

Romulo took over operation of El Dorado in 1990.
Marcos will be the next to take over the family business in 10 years or so.

Romulo is also a very good jeweler who can repair your jewelry and watchbands
while you wait or you can drop it off & come back later.

Think you're pretty good at checkers?
Stop by and challenge Romulo - he is the "checkers champ of Revolución".

Interested in professional wrestling or comic books?
Marcos is very into both and loves to trade tapes and comic books.
